The feathers in this bag are selected from the neck and back of the bird and their softness and mottling make them perfect for many models of classic wet flies and in particular for the North Country style flies. The Grouse and Yellow, with its bright yellow silk body and a Grouse body feather collar, is a perfect example of use. A collar made with a feather of this Grouse also increases the effectiveness of many dry flies made with CDC wings or cock hackles, for example on dressings of Sedges and Stoneflies.
