Semperfli Spyder Thread 30D 18/0, a colour-fast, semi-translucent two twist polyester based thread, is one of the thinnest standard fly tying threads on the market, the same diameter as Spiderweb thread (30D) and Semperfli Nano Silk 30D 18/0. Semperfli Spyder Thread 30D 18/0 is very easy to tie with, not slippy like Dyneema. It is very strong for its 18/0 30 denier size. Despite the strength of Nano Silk and its ability to lie flat and disappear on small and micro flies some tyers prefer traditional material for their fly tying thread.
Semperfli Spyder Thread 30D 18/0 is the ideal thread for small flies and is a perfect substitute for Danville's Spiderweb, which only comes in white, or Uni Caenis, which comes in black and white. The semi-translucent design also helps the thread a natural appearance, especially when you are tying wet, dry and nymph flies. Available in a variety of vibrant colours.
