Nadica and Igor Stancev perform as professional fly tiers, tying instructors, photographers and authors, based in Skopje, Macedonia. Igor has been tying flies since he was 12 years old, hand tying them without the use of any vise or tools. After meeting each other in 1991 Igor and Nadica have shared the same love of nature, macro photography and fly fishing, these have combined together with their detailed photography of insects to create their superb fly patterns. These original exclusive flies are very effective in fishing, among the most requested and used in Europe, although difficult to find on the market.
Between 1997 and 2001 they won together 43 top prizes at major international fly tying competitions around the globe. Their macro photos and articles are published in prestigious fly tying magazines worldwide. As well as regularly demonstrating their innovative techniques at main fly fishing shows in Europe; they have had fly tying articles published in many major international fly fishing and fly tying publications. Nadica and Igor Stancev have collaborated in producing nine books about fly tying which have been published in various European countries.
